Dr. Julia Duwe
Expert in innovation management, leadership and organizational ambidexterity
Julia Duwe studied journalism, business administration and American studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the University of Bergen, Norway. In 2016, she completed her doctorate on ambidexterity and leadership at the European Business School EBS in Oestrich-Winkel. As an author, she deals with the question of how companies can improve their existing core business and at the same time successfully enter new areas of business.
Since 2022
Julia Duwe has been a partner at Roland Berger since 2022 with a focus on innovation management, digital transformation, ecosystem management and building resilient organizations.
Since 2020
Since June 2020, she has been a member of the University Council of the Technische Universität Dresden.
2021—2022
From 2021 to 2022, she was Head of Global Architecture and Ecosystem Architect at TRUMPF Machine Tools, responsible for building an open smart factory architecture for sheet metal manufacturing.
2018—2021
From 2018 to 2021, as Head of R&D Production Platforms and Chief Agile Manager at TRUMPF Machine Tools, she led the development of data-driven product service systems for the Smart Factory.
2014—2017
Until 2017, Julia was Head of Future Motion Solutions Management at Festo, where she led an innovation and digitization project and promoted the market launch of digital pneumatics for Industry 4.0.
Until 2014
From 2011 to 2014, she was responsible for technology and research communications for Festo in Esslingen and from 2008 to 2011 for the German Aerospace Center in Stuttgart.
