Ambidexterity in Supervisory Boards
Corona, crisis, war, AI — like a force of nature, new events and trends are constantly hitting economic players all over the world. They are forcing companies to reinvent themselves. Against this background, one of the central tasks of the Supervisory Board is to safely support companies through the transformation and, in addition to maintaining their core business, to enable them to build future business models. The model of organizational ambidexterity, provides a helpful mental model to successfully balance core and future business as a non-executive board member. In the latest issue of the journal “Der Aufsichtsrat”, we present the concept of ambidexterity and provide concrete starting points for anchoring ambidexterity in supervisory and advisory boards.
